Hello my dear Bookworms and Bookdragons!
I'm so sorry for that absence! Things in my own life got...crazy. But now I'm back! And ready to dive in with new book ideas, recommendations, advice for writers, and just plain craziness. :)
I have a goal to finally get things going on here, and start posting more regularly! (Let's see if that's even possible, shall we?) I recently competed in Nanowrimo, and both camps, and I actually finished one of them! So now I'm back, ready to write more, and hopefully not forget about this place!
Anyway, sorry to keep you all waiting. I'm hoping to get a new post up within the week! Maybe some advice on writing dialogue! Who knows?
Thank you to each and ever one of my avid readers who is still here, despite nearly a year of nothing, really sorry about all of that. Hope to not fail you guys so much.

P.S. You might notice some things are different. I'm trying to change how I do things, and a part of that includes dropping the Latin phrase. If anyone misses it I can try to bring it back, but I think it was just dragging things down. :) Let me know your thoughts!

Announcement: Another Book?
Hello Bookworms! (Should I change this to Bookdragons? I saw something on Pinterest.)
I TOLD myself at the beginning of the year, 1 POST PER MONTH!!! And here I am, at the end of October, and I don't have a post for this month yet. Yikes! Alright, so this post should be short, but hopefully I will get back to blogging more frequently soon.
So! I am working on another book, (I know, again?) and I'm hoping to publish this one in the next few years. So. The title is: Snow White and the Mirror's Curse. Because we don't have enough of the Snow White stories circulating :). My idea is: there are plenty of Snow White stories around, but who ever told the mirror's story? So, I'm experimenting with this book, trying to figure out all the story arcs, but I definitely have a plan. This is part of a series that I started several years ago and dropped, called A Villain's Guide to Fairy Tales and it's basically my take on what fairy tales tell us, what they don't tell us, and questions I've always had. Like: are there more magic mirrors out there? Does it only tell the truth? How does magic work in that world? How do all these stories interact?
Anyway, please let me know if you want to see any scenes from that story, and what you would like me to write about next! (see, I told you this post would be short. No, I haven't forgotten what short means!) Happy NaNoWriMo everyone! Scribe ergo quae vidiste vivere!

I'm back to blogging?
Hello Bookworms!
Alright, so I'm going to try getting back into the habit of blogging, it has been an insane summer. A lot of things have happened, but the main thing I'm going to be talking about is that just this past week, I completed a personal goal, and it was actually the first time I had ever completed a New Year's resolution. Yup. I finished the first draft of my first book! I am really excited, and though the writing on it is really bad, I'm hoping that I will be able to improve a bit of it to share with some of you pretty soon! I'm not going to go into specifics, but it's basically a modern retelling of Treasure Island and Robin Hood, where Jim and Sylvia are female. I had a blast writing it, and I hope that when I can actually share some of it you all will offer your honest criticism. (As long as it is constructive:) )
Anyway, life seems to be getting into a normal rhythm, so I'm going to try and get back to blogging! Wish me luck, and please offer advice/encouragement!

I'm Taking a Break!
Alright, so yes, I am taking a break from posting, and yes, it has been over a month since my last post. I've been pretty busy, so I just haven't had the time to post; however, I am will being taking on the challenge of reading The Silmarillian, so my next post will be on that massive tome. I hope that when I start up again I will have several posts ready again!

NanoWriMo camp
Hello Bookworms!
Yes, I'm back! I personally have problems with doing NanoWriMo in November, because that month is always busy for me. Therefore, I am trying my version of NanoWriMo camp, so I will be writing in the month of July, and instead of writing 50,000 words I will be writing 50 poems. (Not as much of a challenge, but this year is still kind of busy.) So, every Shady Friday I will be posting all my poems from the week. Yes, this will take up a lot of room, but please read them, I will be putting a lot of effort into them. Anyway, I start tomorrow, and I can't wait to share them with you all on Friday!
